Daily Iowan: If you could play any position, what would it be?

Jake Gervase: Probably running back, just because I was a quarterback that ran the ball a lot in high school, and it was a lot of fun. I liked having the ball in my hands, so running back would be fun.

DI: If there was going to be one person on the team who was going to be a standup comedian, who would it be?

Gervase: Sam Brincks. He’s pretty clever and witty, and he’s kind of a goofy guy.

DI: If anyone could play you in a  movie, whom would you choose?

Gervase: Ryan Gosling, because he’s a stud.

DI: Who is the most overrated music artist?

Gervase: I’m not a huge music guy. I don’t have an answer for you. That’s a tough one. I don’t know enough artists that are overrated.

DI: What’s your favorite concert that you’ve ever been to?

Gervase: My girlfriend took me to Brantley Gilbert last spring, and that was awesome.

DI: What’s your dream job after football?

Gervase: My dream job after football would be owning my own company and being able to travel the world. That would be sweet.

DI: What was your favorite TV show growing up?

Gervase: In high school, “Prison Break” was a go-to. I was a big “Prison Break” fan on Netflix.

DI: What about as a young kid?

Gervase: As a young kid, I would say “CatDog.”

DI: What is the best food deal in Iowa City?

Gervase: That’s a tough one. I’m just going to go with 60-cent wings at B-Dubs on Thursdays.

DI: Who is the best NBA 2K player on the team?

Gervase: I don’t play video games, either; that’s tough. I can give you a guess, though. I think Chauncey Golston. I feel like I’ve heard he’s good.
