A University of Iowa student has not yet been found after being declared missing last week.

The search continues for UI sophomore Mollie Tibbetts, who was reported missing by her family on July 19 while going for a jog in Brooklyn, Iowa. Crews searched Brooklyn all weekend but found no clues to her whereabouts. Family and friends said Tibbetts isn’t the type of person who would disappear on her own.

Family members said Tibbetts is 5-3 and has brown hair and eyes, weighing around 120 pounds. A neighbor who last saw her while jogging said she was wearing gym shorts, a black sports bra, and running shoes.

Social media were full of posts and tweets about Tibbetts during the weekend, hoping to spread awareness of her disappearance.

If people have any information about Tibbetts or her disappearance, they may contact the Poweshiek County Sheirff’s Office, 641-623-5679.
