Man charged with burglary, domestic assault

Authorities have arrested an Iowa City man suspected of committing burglary and domestic assault.

Antonio Airhart, 28, 2422 Bartelt Road, was charged July 3 with third-offense domestic assault and first-degree burglary. According to an arrest affidavit, Airhart broke the driver’s side window of a woman’s car while she was sitting inside. When she tried to drive away, the affidavit said, Airhart dove into the broken window and began hitting her with a closed fist.

Third or subsequent offense domestic abuse is a Class-D felony, and first-degree burglary is a Class-B felony.

 

Man faces third OWI charge

Authorities have taken a Cedar Rapids man into custody on suspicion of third-offense OWI.

Jason Titlbach, 37, was charged July 4 with operating a vehicle under the influence. According to an arrest affidavit, Titlbach was driving on Highway 218 south of Riverside Drive when officers pulled him over for going 114 mph in a 65-mph zone. Two blood-alcohol tests revealed his count was around 0.12, the affidavit said. Titlbach has three previous OWI convictions.

Third-offense OWI is a Class-D felony.
