Volcalist and keyboardist Derek Thorn and the house band close out The Jam at the Yacht Club in Iowa City on Thursday, Jan. 25, 2018. Every thursday, Thorn, who performs under the stage name MC Animosity, assebles a house band from various local artistis and hosts a jam session where local artists can get experience playing with a full band. The group plays a variety of genres in a loose improvisational format.
