Authorities have a warrant out for a Coralville man on a forgery and a theft charges.

Ricky Martin, 38, is suspected of committing forgery and second-degree theft on March 8.

According to the affidavit, Martin went into Wells Fargo Bank on College Street and Second St. in Coralville. At both locations, the affidavit said, Martin gave a fraudulent Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop check with his name on it.

One check was in the amount of $989.48, the affidavit said, and the other for $992.38. Martin received cash for both checks, the affidavit said.

Bank security cameras caught Martin presenting the checks, the affidavit said.

Both forgery and second-degree theft are Class-D felonies.
