  • “I know there are challenges are ahead for Purdue football, but that’s why I and my staff are here.”
  • “We couldn’t be happier to have the schedule we have.”
  • “Our running backs are a strength, and our tight ends are right behind them.”
  • Said all running backs are healthy.
  • “I do believe we’ll be better at the receiver position than we were in the spring.”
  • “I think for us, recruiting has gone very well.” Believes there are a lot of positives at Purdue.
  • Recruits will have the chance to play early in their careers.
  • “We want to be aggressive in how we play, how we coach, and let the guys know that that’s our brand.”
  • Wants to establish an identity in Indianapolis.
  • Excited about Purdue’s tough nonconference schedule.
  • Thinks the defense is ahead of the offense at this point.
  • Noted last season’s stellar run defense. Likes where his current defense is at. “I like what I’ve seen so far on defense. It’s just a matter of keeping those guys healthy and fresh.”
