Iowa track and field junior Jahisha Thomas competed on July 1-2 at the United Kingdom World team trials in the triple jump and the long jump.

Thomas finished fourth in the long jump and third in the triple jump, but she grabbed everyone’s attention after she set a new personal and lifetime best in the triple jump.

The London native jumped 13.25 meters for third place.

As a junior, she has been honored as a two-time All-American in the long jump and is currently second in Iowa’s record books in the triple jump.
