Without discussion, the state Board of Regents approved the appointment of state relations officer Keith Saunders to the post of interim executive director in a telephonic meeting on Wednesday. Saunders and the regents’ Governance Committee — which comprises of Regents Sherry Bates, Nancy Boettger, and President Pro Tem Patty Cownie — will lead the search for a replacement.
