Man faces a forgery charge

Authorities have accused a man of possessing forged items.

Deandre Davis, 21, was charged May 18 with forgery.

According to the arrest affidavit, Davis used 21 counterfeit $20 bills in the sale of a laptop.

The affidavit said Davis knew he was facilitating forgery by “making, completing, authenticating, issuing, or transferring a writing purporting to be the act of another who did not authorize the act.”

A warrant has been requested for his arrest, the affidavit said.

Forgery is a Class-D felony.
