HOROSCOPES

ARIES (March 21-April 19): Speak up if there is something you want.
Your negotiating skills, intelligence, and the ability to adapt to the
changes going on will put you in a good position to advance. Celebrate
with someone you love.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20): Take more interest in what your personal or
professional partner is up to. If you get involved, you will
demonstrate that you have an interest and are willing to do your part.
Your enthusiasm will be rewarded.

GEMINI (May 21-June 20): Channel your emotional energy into something
positive. Getting upset over unverified information will only lead to
anger. Take out any frustration you feel at the gym or through any
other activity that allows you to use your physical abilities.

CANCER (June 21-July 22): You’ll be called upon to do something that
isn’t likely to sit right with you. Back away if someone is acting
erratic or pushing you in a direction that doesn’t suit your needs.
Protect against financial, emotional, and physical damage.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22): Don’t back down. You have more control than you
realize. Traveling, getting together with people you find mentally
stimulating, and taking on a challenge that will bring about
progressive changes are in your best interest.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22): Emotional deception or disillusionment will
set in if you can’t agree with someone you live with or work with. If
you don’t like the demands being put on you, speak up, and offer what
you feel is fair and doable. Use diplomacy.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 22): Travel plans or educational pursuits will
give you the incentive and knowledge you need to explore and pursue a
new endeavor. Working alongside someone who is as dedicated as you
will inspire you to do your best.

SCORPIO (Oct. 23-Nov. 21): You’ll face emotional confusion when
dealing with people from your past or the baggage you carry from your
younger years. Address matters head-on, and you will discover you are
the master of your destiny. Take control, move forward, and don’t look
back.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21): Make an offer to host an event or open
your doors to family and friends. Your generosity will lead to
interesting conversations with someone who would like to work with
you. A chance to prosper looks promising. Romance is highlighted.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19): You’ll be tempted by an offer that is
dangled in front of you. Step back, and consider the validity of the
sales pitch. You are better off avoiding anything extravagant,
indulgent, or excessive in any way, shape, or form.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18): Put your family and friends first. Host a
gathering. Your enthusiasm will be infectious, giving you an
opportunity to present your ideas and entice someone you love to take
a greater interest in what you are doing.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20): You’ll receive mixed messages and find it
difficult to understand why someone you care about is being
argumentative. Listen attentively, but don’t get in a spat. Confusion
and delays while traveling can be expected. Keep the peace.

THE LEDGE

Random thoughts

·   The books at the library can’t be THAT great if everyone keeps
returning them.

·   I think it would suck to be a spider, because of all the shoes
you’d have to buy.

·   People who know what day of the week it is are always so
self-righteous about it.

·   If one were to take the average attractiveness over all Americans,
I bet the result would be pretty ugly — but, hey, that’s just mean.

·   I wonder how many times I’ve signed off “I love you” in a business
email and not noticed. I’m guessing more than once — but not enough
for a lawsuit.

·   If your entire life up until now were a novel, and a fifth-year
English major were to write her/his thesis on that novel, then what
character would be the Christ figure? Mine’s Chef Boyardee.

·   Does anybody know of sushi restaurant that serves a “drum roll?” I
feel like this is a missed opportunity. “May I have a drum roll,
please?”

·   A lot of people blame their parents for everything that’s wrong in
their life, but I’m much more mature and too self-aware than that; I
know there’s only ONE PERSON responsible for my failures as an adult,
and that’s my mother.

·   But what if my results DO vary?  What then?  WHAT IS THE
CONTINGENCY *THEN*, Duracell Coppertop AAA 40-pack?
