University of Iowa police have accused a Marion female of using a fake name at the UI Hospitals and Clinics on two occasions and obtaining a prescription.
Janie Zerbee, 41, was charged with first-degree theft, possession of prescription drugs, and prohibited acts: drugs.
Between April 28, 2015, and May 24, 2015, Zerbee reportedly went to the UIHC Emergency Department complaining of pain on two occasions.
Zerbee allegedly used a fake name for each visit and obtained medical services in the amount of $11,396.33. Staff recognized Zerbee from the first visit.
Zerbee also allegedly obtained a prescription under the fake name to receive hydrocodone-acetaminophen.
