The University of Iowa’s Tippie College of Business students consists of 20 percent international students.
The school pairs each international student with a domestic student to help them navigate through college.
There are close to 700 international students in Tippie College of Business, and in 2014 the International Buddies program was made to assist those students.
“My buddy is Blake. I really like him,” said UI junior Ruang Peng. “We like to go to the gym, work out, shoot some basketball.”
Coordinators say this program is a good way to have international students and domestic students bond and get to know each other.
