The Daily Iowan’s Iowa-Maryland Predictions

Football reporters Danny Payne and Ryan Rodriguez offer their predictions for No. 10 Iowa’s game with Maryland.

Danny Payne, Pregame Editor

This game is going to be over at some point in the first half. If it’s not, then Iowa did something wrong. Prediction: Iowa 48, Maryland 20.

Pick to Click: Jaleel Johnson. I’m pretty sure I’ve picked Johnson before, but I see him having another big day against an inferior Maryland offensive line.

Ryan Rodriguez, football reporter

As I said previously, this is a game Iowa should and will win. The Hawkeyes are superior in just about every statistical category imaginable, and given how they’ve played through adversity, I really can’t see them dropping this one at home after a week off. Prediction: Iowa 31, Maryland 10.

Pick to click: Akrum Wadley. With Jordan Canzeri out and LeShun Daniels Jr. still not at 100 percent, it’s Wadley’s turn to be the next man up this week for the Hawks.
